Meredith Robinson, FDIC Senior Management Analyst, will moderate the session. Panelists will include Justin Schofield, FDIC Knowledge Management Program Facilitator, and Yolanda Thomas, FDIC Senior Financial Analyst.

Meredith Robinson, FDIC Senior Management Analyst (Moderator)

Meredith commenced her career journey at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 2010 as a Summer Intern within the Division of Finance’s Financial Reporting and Analysis Section. She swiftly transitioned to a permanent role as a Financial Management Analyst, leveraging her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Hampton University, Hampton, VA, and later complementing her academic achievements with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College, Adelphi, MD. Progressing within the FDIC, Meredith assumed the position of Accountant within the Division of Finance, overseeing critical corporate and regulatory financial reporting functions. Seeking new challenges, she transitioned to the Legal Division in 2020 as a Management Analyst, where she excelled as the Program Manager for the Legal Division Recruitment and Honors Attorney programs. She played a pivotal role in developing and implementing the Legal Division’s DEIA Strategic Plan and Dashboard, while also managing her section’s budget. Meredith's diverse skill set and adaptability led her to various roles within the FDIC, including Corporate Recruiter and positions in the Division of Insurance and Research’s Regulatory and Financial Analysis Sections. In December 2023, she enhanced her expertise in Corporate Strategic Planning by assuming the role of Senior Management Analyst (Strategic Planning) within the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection. Throughout her journey, Meredith has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and continuous growth, contributing significantly to the FDIC's organizational objectives through her strategic insights and leadership abilities. 

Justin Schofield, FDIC Knowledge Management Program Facilitator (Panelist)

Justin Schofield has over 19 years of experience at the FDIC, conducting policy analysis, program management, performing research and technical reporting on federal legislative issues, acquisitions as well as staffing and recruitment. Justin is a Knowledge Management Program Facilitator in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR). In his role, he supports various aspects of CISR’s Knowledge Management Program including the development of DEIA training and programs related to divisional goals and objectives, facilitates cross-divisional efforts to identify and address gaps in learning and development needs, as well as establishing partnerships with internal and external entities such as HBCUs and minority industry organizations in an effort diversify CISR’s applicant pool and broader workforce. Justin is also an FDIC Corporate Recruiter with the Talent Sourcing Team and the Chair of Communications for Association of African American Professionals (A3P) ERG. Since joining the FDIC as a Student Intern in the Office of Legislative Affairs, Justin has served in various positions and organizations, including Procurement Analyst in the Division of Administration Acquisition Services Branch and Senior Management Specialist in the Legal Division. Outside of the FDIC he has served as a Social Media & Communications Coordinator for a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and a member of the DC City Council. Justin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Virginia State University, a historically black institution in Petersburg, Virginia and a Graduate Certification in Non-Profit & Public Organizational Management from American Public University. He also maintains a certification as a Contract Oversight Manager. 

Yolanda Thomas, FDIC Senior Financial Analyst (Panelist)

Yolanda Thomas’s permanent role is a Senior Financial Analyst in FDIC’s Division of Insurance and Research (DIR), where she evaluates banking financial statements and organizational data for material inaccuracies or inconsistencies, taking appropriate resolution action as applicable. Her work, with that of her other colleagues, provide essential input for the Chairman’s Quarterly Banking Profile presentations to the banking industry. While in her current role as a Special Assistant Rotational Program (SARP) Detailee to the Deputy Director in Division of Risk and Management Supervision (RMS), she works with examination aspects of anti-money laundering, cyber fraud and crime, as well as information technology (IT) policy and supervision areas. She is also active in other parts of FDIC, including being a Corporate Recruiter and the Chairperson of the Partnership for Women in the Workplace (POWW) Employee Resource Group. Yolanda is also a disabled Veteran, having served proudly for 8 years, with past employment tenures including 9 years as a NCUA Principal Credit Union Examiner as an IT SME and additional experience with specialized lending and capital markets; 2 years as a Business and Compliance Analyst and Financial Services Associate with Navy Federal Credit Union; and 3 years as a Corporate Internal Auditor with Federal Express. Yolanda’s academics also include a MBA in Project Management from Columbia Southern University; a BBA with an Accounting major and Biology minor with Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis; and both a MA and BA in Christian Education from Triangle Bible Institute with Summa Cum Laude honors. Yolanda is a June 2021 Alumna of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds ABD status for dual doctorates in Finance with Liberty University and Strategic Leadership in Ministry at Virginia Christian College.
